21 days of prayer
This 21 day prayer guide is the perfect way to jumpstart your year living out our vision of “devoted.” Each day includes a theme, a verse to meditate on, an explanation, and a reflection question to create space for God to speak to you.
We encourage you to pray these themes over three areas…
1. Your own life.
2. Your own sphere of influence (family/friends).
3. ZOE Church as a whole.
As a part of this prayer journey, we encourage you to include an element of fasting. This may mean fasting a meal, a whole day, a day each week, or even several days. Although biblical fasting was in relation to food, there are other ways that can also be meaningful to your spiritual growth. Consider something you might fast for the entirety of the 21 days (TV, Social Media, certain foods/drinks, etc.). Fasting is an intentional step that humbles our appetites and reveals dependencies and hidden idols in our hearts. As we intentionally seek God and deny ourselves we become more aware of what consumes us, creating space for God to speak. This intentional sacrifice and humble posture exposes our dependence on earthly comforts, allowing our hunger and devotion for the things of God to grow.
